Nuzee.com has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website: Nuzee.com.

The Short Version

The details are below, but the most important thing for you to know is that we have no idea who you are. Nor do we care.

If you have used Nuzee's "Favorites" feature, where you save a link to a favorite news feed page in the "Favorites" drop down box, we have stored a cookie on your computer. The cookie contains the pages you have selected as your favorites.

We do not store your favorites on our server, nor do we associate any information about you with your selection of favorites.

And even if we could derive some personality profile from your selection of the Consumer Durable Goods as a "favorite", it gives us a headache just thinking about it. In any case, we do not analyze your choices.

We do not provide (sell, give away, or loan, or leave lying about in dark alleys) information about you to anyone else. Period.

If you leave Nuzee.com by following a link (such as when you click on a headline), you are at someone else's website (duh!) and we have no control over nor knowledge about what happens there.

If you want your privacy protected completely, unplug your computer and buy a newspaper.

The Details

When you visit Nuzee.com, your IP address (a unique number issued by your ISP) is written to a server log. We use the server log to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer our Web site, and to determine website viewing patterns (i.e., busiest hours, busiest days, etc.). However, at no time is your identity known to us nor is your identity associated with your IP address.

We use a cookie to store news feed pages you have selected as "favorites". Cookies are chunks of data our server sends to your browser, which then writes the chunks to a file on your hard drive. We don't have direct access to your browser's cookie file (or any other file on your computer).

If you do not use the favorites feature (where a list of your favorite news feed pages appears in the "Favorites" drop down box), we do not send your browser a cookie.

Specifically, we store the following information in cookies:

The current version of Nuzee.com uses cookies only to store your "favorites". However, in the future we may use cookies to provide additional customizable features (such as when you would tell us your zipcode so we could provide local weather or movie listings). If we use cookies for purposes other than the "favorites" feature, we will say so in this privacy policy.

This site contains links to other sites. Nuzee.com is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.

Our news headlines and some other features are provided by individual websites as stated in the channel titles and copyright notices

When you click on a headline link, your click is not recorded by us. Some or all of our content suppliers, however, do record your click and then redirect you to the story represented by the headline. The page on which the story appears is not on Nuzee.com's server. Instead, you are taken to the news provider's website (e.g., Washington Post, CNN, Wired, etc.). Those sites may collect information about you and issue cookies. We have no way of knowing, and as much as we would like to own the New York Times, we don't, and therefore we have no control over the New York Times website, nor the website of anyone else.

When you click on links included in content provided by the above websites, the clicks are probably recorded. You are taken to another website, where personal information may be collected and cookies may be created. We have no way of knowing have nor any control over what happens at those websites.

In no case, however, does Nuzee.com sell, give away, loan, or otherwise share information about you to the above sites or any other site. Period. Nada. Zilch.

We do not display advertising on Nuzee.com. None. So we don't have to warn you about advertising network cross-site tracking, such as that performed by DoubleClick and others. Ad-free pages also makes our content faster to download.

No advertising, you say? That's right. But how do you make money, you ask? The answer (which lands with a thud at the end of every conversation with our banker) is simple: We don't make any money at this endeavor. Nuzee loves the Nuz! And for now, that's payment enough.

Security

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. However, since we store no information about you on our servers, our security protects only our website and its programming.

Choice/Opt-Out

If you don't want us to know anything about you, just don't use the "Favorites" feature. (Although we think our customization features are the most compelling part of our website.)

However, if you in the past used the "Favorites" feature and are now paranoid about it, you can delete your favorites. Just click here and all your cookies will be deleted.
